On January 27th, we are planning a trip to Lock and Dam 18 on the Mississippi river in the Gladstone Il and Burlington Iowa area. When we went in February 2022, there were about 450 eagles there, and it was an unforgettable experience. NOTE: We reserve the right to make a last minute change in date or location (weather or eagle count).
Agenda:
445am: Leave the farm and fleet parking lot (if anyone indicates they want to caravan up there)
719am Sunrise
730am: Washroom stop at Circle K in Monmouth.
800am: arrive at Lock and 18
1130am: Leave the lock and go to Burlington IA.
12 noon: eat at a restaurant tbd
1230pm: There's a great walking tour of historic Burlington we can do (weather permitting). There's also a couple of driving tours we can do as well. SEE LINK BELOW.
300pm: head home (or as individuals see fit)
5:14pm Sunset
For those not early risers, there are hotels in Monmouth, IL or Burlington IA you can book and meet us at Lock and Dam 18 at 800am
