2023 Interstate 74 challenge

The I-74 Challenge was held on May 3rd, 2023. The two participating clubs were the Champaign County Camera Club (CCCC) and the KodaRoamers from Bloomington, IL. Two camera clubs located along I-74, the KodaRoamers and the Champaign County Camera Club, meet annually each with 50 digital images from their respective clubs to compete for points on a certain topic.

The Bloomington KodaRoamers hosted the Challenge this year. This is the first in-person competition between the clubs after the covid pandemic started. Theme for the competition was architecture (open - no restriction on image manipulation). This year digital images were taken April 1st, 2022 and April 1st, 2023.

Three judges scored each image and selected the final winners. The top four images from both clubs are presented here, along with six runners-up from the Champaign County Camera Club(Honorable Mention). Top score received 5 points; second place 4 points; third place 3 points; forth place 2 points, honorable mentions each one point.

Final Score: KodaRoamers 37, CCCC 6. Congratulations to both clubs!

The Champaign County Camera Club was founded in November, 1935, on the campus of the University of Illinois as the Photon Camera Club. After several name changes, it became known as the Champaign County Camera Club. The Bloomington/Normal Camera Club has been in existence since 1944, and is now known as the KodaRoamers.
