Join the club on a photo outing close by. Vermilion County has a number of great parks. Learn more about Kinnekuk, Heron Park, and Lake Vermillon. Forest Glen Preserve is a 1,800-acre nature preserve in McKendree Township in Vermilion County, Illinois. Join us in photographing nature at its best.

Here is the agenda:

6am-The president will be leaving the Circle K at Cunningham and Kenyon just south of I74.

6:30am-Arrive at Kennekuk County Park, and go to the train parking lot. (Map link below) Sunrise photos there? Hike until 9:30am

6:50am-Moon Rise (New moon, 0.07% illumination)

7:00am-Sunrise

9:30am--Leave, go to Heron County Park

9:45am to 11:30am-Hike this small park.  An observation tower, a boardwalk over the wetland, and a small trail are there.

11:30am-12:30pm--Lunch north side of Danville.  Depending on feedback from participants before the outing and during, we can bring a lunch, or eat at a fast food place on the north end of Danville

12:30pm-1:30pm--Lake Vermillion. Birds will tend to be at north end of Lake, otherwise some landscapes

1:30pm--head to Forest Glen.  We will meet at the Lorna J Konsis Visitor Center.

1:45pm--Forest Glen--meet at Lorna J Konsis Visitorx Center--lots of trails to explore and hike here

6:12pm--Sunset

6:14pm--Moonset
