The annual Interstate 74 challenge was held on May 10, 2019. The two participating clubs were the Champaign County Camera Club and the KodaRoamers from Bloomington, IL.
The Champaign County Camera Club was founded in November, 1935, on the campus of the University of Illinois as the Photon Camera Club. After several name changes, it became known as the Champaign County Camera Club. The Bloomington/Normal Camera Club has been in existence since 1944, and is now known as the KodaRoamers.
Thanks to judges Craig McMonigal, Christine Cooreman Main, and Jon Dessen.
The theme this year for the I-74 Challenge was images with complementary color. Each club submitted 50 of their best images, for a total of 100 in the competition. Each club had 13 images worthy of being judged as honorably mentioned. In total points however, the KodaRoamers won the competition this year with 28 points to 18 points. Congratulations KodaRoamers!
