Club president, Steve Heater, will discuss disaster proofing and recovery in photography. He will discuss the risks posing loss, backup strategies, and his own personal experience with a near disaster, potentially losing 25 years of work and around 300,000 photos.
Tonight we hope to share results from photo assignment #7:
With this assignment, we want members to go out within 60 days prior to tonight’s meeting and take up to four photos (no more than 2 of any 1 subject). The photos should include at least one of the following categories: animals (including pets), monochrome (any one color) and/or the color green. If you can include two or three of the categories in your photo, even better. The maximum size for a projected image is 1400 x 1050 pixels. To learn more about preparing your image for projection on the library projector, see this information. You can email the photos to the club email champaigncountycameraclub@gmail.com by noon December 9th, or bring them on a flash drive.
Get your camera ready and take some shots! Leadership believes this will be a really fun way to encourage members to get out there and photograph the world around you.
