Portrait photography is a specialized area of photography that requires a certain amount of planning, lighting, and directing. In this session, we will be looking not so much at the actual taking of the image but rather the final presentation. In this aspect of the process, the photographer must use many
different techniques beyond the image produced in the camera. These are the
secrets that are not involved with the subject’s knowledge. They are the secrets that separate the successful portrait photographer from the work of the amateur.
In this session, the approach will be concerned with only one-person
images. Because of time limitations and equipment, the subjects in this
session will be from images that were taken at an earlier date. This leaves us
with preparing the image for the final presentation. In this session, you will
see the use and value of the many tools offered by PhotoShop and how these
tools can make you a successful portrait photographer. These are the secret
tools and their use that will make the final presentation successful to both you
and the subject.
Bob Wiseman, former professor in Audio-Visual at Eastern Illinois University, will host this exciting presentation!
